Barista pouring latte art into a copper-toned ceramic cup in a warm, sunlit coffee shop

Small-batch · Hand-roasted · Neighborhood cafe

Coffee, roasted slowly. Poured with care.

Copper Roast is a tiny cafe with a big obsession: single-origin beans, roasted in small batches and pulled into every cup by hand.

Our Story

Started with one roaster and a stubborn love of good coffee.

Copper Roast began in a garage with a 5-kilo roaster and a simple idea: coffee tastes better when you know where it came from. Nearly a decade later, we still roast every batch by hand, cup every lot before it ships, and pull every espresso to order.

We work directly with growers in Ethiopia, Colombia and Guatemala, paying well above commodity price for beans worth the trip. What's left over goes into the neighborhood — free cupping nights, a shelf of local zines, and a door that's always open.

Reviews

What the regulars say.

Best pour-over in the city, hands down. The staff actually know the beans — ask a question and you'll get a real answer.

The Copper Latte is worth the trip alone. Warm, unpretentious spot — my laptop and I have a permanent table here.

Cardamom buns sell out by 9am for a reason. Get there early or thank me later.
